TAREBI II is the second phase of renewable energy business incubator operated by the IMED Foundation in collaboration with the SELCO Foundation from India and Funded by the C.S. Mott Foundation. This is a two-year program from 2019-2021 targeting to build capacities of micro, small and medium renewable energy enterprises to catalyze the adoption of clean to rural communities in Tanzania, mainly targeting SAGCOT areas and Dodoma. The target groups are MSMEs providing clean energy solutions to underserved communities. The incubation program is part of the broader ecosystem for the development and support of clean energy enterprises in Tanzania.
Therefore TAREBI II is working with other partners in the ecosystem who holistically deliver services to the clean energy enterprises. These partners include Tanzania association of Microfinance Institutions (TAMFI), Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA), Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT), Tanzania Technology Development Organisation (TATEDO), Kakute Projects, Don Bosco Network Tanzania, Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO) and Rural Energy Agency (REA).
