Management

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of development, policy, and entrepreneurship practitioners. Day to day management is under a CEO supported by a lean team of professionals.

Management and Board of Experts lead the IMED Foundation in entrepreneurship, business management, and development finance. The Foundation has a dedicated management team delivering exceptional demand-driven services to its stakeholders. The management team is guided by an independent Board of Directors with immense experience in the focus areas of the Foundation. The profiles of the management team are listed below;

Swabiri Khalidi

Khalidi has extensive expertise and experience in carrying out research, training and consulting in the area of public policy advocacy. He has over 15 years’ experience in working with private sector organizations in Tanzania through training, mentoring, and influencing public policy at local and national levels. He was a member of the team that was involved in the development of the cutting edge training materials and cases that are currently used in training Private Sector Organisations (PSOs) in policy advocacy and institutional development process.

He was a co-coordinator of a capacity building program, which was very instrumental in building both the institutional and advocacy capacity of private sector organizations in Tanzania. Through his work, he has established a strong network with a majority of private sector organizations in Tanzania.

Besides, Mr Khalidi was an employee of the University of Dar es Salaam Business school, where he taught and consulted in the area of Human Resources Management, Organisational Development strategy, and entrepreneurship. Mr Khalidi is a holder of MBA (Human resources management) from the University of Dar es salaam and currently pursuing his PhD studies in the same area. He attended several short courses in Columbia University ( USA), Keio University (Japan), Gordon Institute of Business Science ( South Africa ), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Utrecht University ( The Netherlands) and Business Academy  Aarhus ( Denmark)

Junior Ndesajo

Junior Ndesanjo has over 7 years experience of researching and project management in areas of agribusiness, policy research and advocacy, capacity building, renewable energy and entrepreneurship. He also bring a vast regional market experience having worked in a regional body that spans around 10 countries namely Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, DR Congo, Malawi, Zambia, South Sudan and Ethiopia working on facilitating structured trading systems and creating a good and friendly enabling business environment for the private sector actors along the agricultural value chains namely traders, processors, smallholders and service providers for profitable regional trade. He also worked with PASS Trust and the Ministry of Agriculture. Gained multicultural experience by working and undertaking short courses in Nairobi, India and the US on SPS and TBT Agreements, Evidence Based Risk Analysis and TFA and ToT.

Aika Donath

Aika Donath Olomi has over a year experience of researching and project management in areas of renewable energy, entrepreneurship, agriculture and advocacy. She has attended several competency-based courses and international conferences on entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, business planning adult training, and project management. Besides, she has participated and managed research and project management for various agencies such as Mott Foundation, Agriculture Market and Development Trust (AMDT) and Shell Exploration and Production Tanzania Limited.
